Obtain the seat and posture you have always wanted. Proper posture enables you to breathe deeper and increase circulation. This will assist a rider to keep bones and joints in correct alignment and minimize strains and injuries.
Whether you are an experienced rider or are new to riding...when you have correct posture you will improve the performance of both horse and rider.

"As a physical therapist, I was able to intellectually understand how my body is supposed to work while riding my horse, but I was not getting as good of results as I wanted. I worked with Kerry Picken who's specialty is body mechanics for the equestrian. She helped me get the body awareness and clarity I needed to progress and have greater success dancing with my horse. She coached me both on and off of the horse to turn the intellectual skills into physical reality. "
"After only 10 sessions off the horse with Kerry, both my horses are going better. Their self-carriage and strength and flexibility in all three gaits has improved drastically in direct alignment with my own improvement through Kerry’s assistance.
Kerry is not only an expert Pilates instructor but has an impeccable eye, an easy communication style, unflappable personality and sense of humor every equestrian expert needs to
perfect riders posture."
-Marsha Ferrick, PHD, Bcc
Kerry is a great Pilates instructor who besides the work on the mat, reformer and ball has developed skills and knowledge to help riders on the horse. This is regardless of the rider's level or discipline.
As a classical dressage clinician, instructor and trainer, Kerry has been precious help for my students, making my job easier. She works with the students on their seat and balance, with specific exercises to develop strength and flexibility according to their immediate need in order to be able to accomplish the requested dressage exercises later during my lessons. Kerry will find the rider's weakness and restriction in their body for each position and posture and will give to the rider exercises to practice with her during the lessons and later home in order to develop strength, muscle or flexibility. Like I do, every instructor should use Kerry's services to quickly improve their students.
